Timex is seeking an Email Marketing Specialist to coordinate the development and implementation of marketing communication (email, SMS, and other multi-channel platforms) programs across the globe. The Email Marketing Specialist takes a lead role on communications for promotional, lifecycle and transactional emails and assists in program strategy through insights and interpretation of key metrics.  This position will also collaborate with global brand marketing and product teams to identify new programs and opportunities and implement best practices in digital communications.
Primary Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
  • Lead our triggered, transactional and newsletter email campaigns from strategy through execution.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of email best practices and standard programs.  Ensure compliance with the appropriate data privacy requirements and CAN-SPAM regulations.  Participate in strategic marketing meetings with in-house and outside marketing groups and/or agencies to optimize email communications.
  • Manage the email marketing calendar.  Partner with other departments and teams such as brand and product marketing to identify and implement email marketing and customer relationship management (CRM) opportunities.
  • Coordinate email projects and jobs including design consistency and accuracy, brand integrity and production schedules.  Assist with quality control for all aspects of email communications including links, email and landing page content, subject lines and appropriate audience versioning and segmentation.
  • Optimize email campaign and metrics.  Drive effectiveness through testing, measurement, tracking and reporting.
  • Manage the product management roadmap for the email service provider (ESP) including function and feature enhancement and integration with other critical digital reference architecture platforms.
  • Manage email reporting company-wide across multiple platforms and participate in periodica executive presentations.
  • Perform market analysis and competitive benchmarking.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree

Desired Skills and Experience

2-4 years of work experience in a fast-paced digital agency or in-house digital/ecommerce marketing group
1+ years of managing email programs

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of email and web marketing best practices.
  • Knowledge of other areas of digital and print marketing as it relates to the success of an email program
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong written and oral skills
  • Excellent teamwork, communication and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Creative Suite
  • Basic understanding of HTML
  • Experience with email service provider platforms such as Bronto Software and MailChimps
  • Knowledge of fashion accessories and/or watch industry a plus
