Timex is seeking a Director of Sales for our Target business.  Responsibilities include leading the business to maximize volume, profit and customer satisfaction and to create competitive advantage through superior customer alignment and partnership. In this role, you will lead and manage the Category Captain role with dotted line to supply chain manager and demand planner.  The Director of Sales will execute on the corporate objectives while being focused on both the internal and external scorecard. 

Primary Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

  • Demonstrate strong leadership and team building skills with the ability to leverage other people for effective account management across multiple teams
  • Grow revenue with new and existing product placement and promotional activity
  • Develop, organize, monitor and manage the daily business activities
  • Negotiate effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Build strong business relationships with all levels of the buying team
  • Lead trade marketing efforts by understanding real customer needs and developing detailed action plans to support them
  • Work closely with operations/forecast group to accurately forecast, order and transport products to customers
  • Lead, as well as assist in the development of strategic sales and marketing platform, strategic account management and overall sales strategy
  • Direct/initial line of communication with the Timex Field Merchandising Team to handle/manage all store level concerns

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree

Desired Skills and Experience

Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree
5-8 years of sales and marketing experience
Experience managing national retail customers (HQ level) preferred
Direct selling experience with Big Box Retail required, Mass channel preferred

Skills:

Strong analytical skills
Advanced Microsoft skills required with strong emphasis on Excel and Powerpoint
Exceptional oral & written communication skills
Demonstrated skills in achieving sales, profitability and budget goals
Ability to effectively implement sales and marketing strategies
