Job description

Timex is seeking an E-Business Specialist to join our team in Middlebury.  This position is responsible for supporting the organization's global social media and mobile marketing/commerce programs.   The role will typically lead cross-functional teams in the definition, development, implementation and refinement of programs that drive engagement with the Timex brand and community and that deliver sales across Timex's digital properties.
Primary Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
  • Maintain the Timex presence on social platforms that is consistent with brand and product positioning.  The social platforms include but are not limited to our brand blogs, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram,Tumblr, and YouTube.
  • Develop social and mobile marketing and communications plans to drive both engagement and commerce.
  • Maintain the global social media content calendar across Timex social platforms.
  • Monitor social conversations and actions, assist in the moderation and curation of content, and support timely responses to consumers when appropriate.
  • Support the development and maintenance of our mobility program.
  • Support the development and maintenance of mobile applications where appropriate.
  • Support the development and implementation of marketing campaigns that apply best practices to drive mobile engagement and commerce.
  • Analyze metrics and provide regular management reporting.  Identify insights and find ways to improve on those metrics through testing and new initiatives.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree

Desired Skills and Experience

2-4 years of work experience in a fast-paced digital agency or in-house digital direct/ecommerce marketing group
1+ years of managing social platforms and programs

Skills:

  • Creative problem solver who can work independently under general guidance with minimal supervision
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances in a fast-paced environment
  • Active and passionate user of multiple social media platforms
  • Strong knowledge of mobile platforms
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; specifically the ability to present ideas and information clearly
  • Knowledge of digital marketing and ecommerce techniques and tactics
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent teamwork, communication and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Creative Suite
  • Basic understanding of HTML, image processing and editing software (Photoshop) and video processing/editing software (e.g., QuickTime).
  • Knowledge of fashion accessories and/or watch industry a plus
